Dr. Dansie - Pediatric Dentist - Gig Harbor

Dr. Brian Dansie, DDS, MS

Dr. Dansie, a board-certified pediatric dentist, grew up in a small town in rural Utah. He attended dental school at the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio – Go Buckeyes! After realizing that pediatric dentistry was his favorite part of his dental education, he completed a 2-year pediatric dental residency at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and a master’s degree at Ohio State focusing on the oral health of premature infants and children with special needs.

He was raised hiking, camping, and four-wheeling all over the Rocky Mountains. He enjoys the great outdoors and getting some fresh air in nature. He played basketball and football growing up and still coaches his kids in basketball, baseball, football, and soccer. Dr. Brian and his wife, Rachel, relocated to the Pacific Northwest from California with their three children in 2015.

If you ask him why he went into pediatric dentistry, the answer is simple. He loves kids! His first rotation in dental school was in pediatrics, and he knew instantly that nothing else in dentistry would be as rewarding to him as working with children. He genuinely enjoys laughing and joking with kids all day. He believes that instilling confidence and self-worth in a child can start at the dental office with caring and compassionate pediatric dentists.

After graduating from high school, he spent two years in Argentina serving the people there in many different ways and came back fluent in Spanish. Dr. Krisha Misa, DDS - Pediatric Dentist - Gig Harbor.

Dr. Krisha Misa, DDS

Dr. Krisha Misa, DDS is a board-certified pediatric dentist who combines premium, high-quality dentistry with a calm, reassuring approach that helps kids feel safe and helps parents feel confident. She delivers thoughtful dentistry with warmth, patience, and a steady focus on doing what’s best for each child long-term.

Raised in Washington, Dr. Misa is proud to have built her education close to home – earning her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Washington. She then pursued advanced specialty training in pediatric dentistry at the University of Illinois, where she also completed a Master’s degree, deepening both her clinical expertise and her commitment to evidence-based, child-centered care.

A core focus of Dr. Misa’s care is supporting children with dental anxiety. She understands that fear can show up as tears, silence, resistance, or “wiggles,” and she never treats those moments like misbehavior. Instead, she uses a child-centered, trust-building approach – meeting kids where they are, moving at a pace that feels safe, and explaining what’s happening in a way that makes sense to both children and parents. Her goal is not just to finish an appointment; it’s to help children leave feeling proud, capable, and more comfortable the next time.

Outside the office, you’ll usually find her hunting down a great new restaurant with her husband (she’s serious about a good noodle spot), chasing fresh powder on a snowboard when the season hits, or capturing everyday moments through photography.
